Light and color adjustments
In these two photos I made light and color adjustments. In the picture of the statue I placed a light over the statues head to give the picture a more angelic feeling. In the picture of the fountain I desatrated the color from the photo. I think it helps to accent the detail in the fountain.
I like the light above the statue. It also looks like you darkened the sky, which makes the light stand out more. The light makes it look like there is a faint glow around the whole statue. In the second photo, I like how the light is reflected in the water, which refocuses your eye to the fountain.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is definitely more successful than the second one. I think you achieve what you are looking for and this is quite obvious to the viewer as well. I get what you are doing with the second one, though I think the image is too dark to hold the interest of the viewer. See if there is any way you can find a balance between the desaturation and the ability to still see the details in the fountain. If not, perhaps you can go and take another photograph of this with a little more light available so that this can be achieved.
ReplyDeleteI really like the angelic look to that first picture. It does give a sense of warmness to it with the statue. The second one looks like a cool older picture but is almost too dark to really admire the features of it. Overall they look good, nice job.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo definitely achieved what you were after. Great job! The statue definitely shows an angelic feeling. The second photo is a little too dark for me to see the detail.
ReplyDeleteI love the first photo - second photo is ok. The statue is very angelic looking and very calming. I just think more thought could have gone into the second photo - perhaps not so dark.
